Unique Artesian Well Experience
One of the best features of the house is the Artesian Well. The Artesian Well performs exceptionally well producing 40 gallons of water per minute. Even with a large family, the Artesian Well never experienced a quantity issue.
The water is stored in a holding tank as it is pumped into the house. As the water passes through, it undergoes multiple filtration processes. There is a water softener to soften the hard water, a greensand filter to remove potential iron (which is very low), a "big blue filter" and a UV filter. Soft water is better for your skin and hair. It reduces soap curd making cleaning easier. It softens clothes without hard minerals trapped in the fabric. Fabrics last longer and whites stay whiter without the dingy gray caused by hard water. It Preserves the life of all water appliances such as coffee machines, ice makers, dishwashers, water heaters and laundry equipment. Lastly, you save money on monthly energy costs.
Additionally, The house has a Reverse Osmosis System for drinking water. If you’re looking for pure water, Reverse Osmosis Water is the best. It’s great for cooking, has a better taste and is free of any impurities frequently found in tap water. This water can be accessed through the fridge, a specific tap in the laundry room, and a specific tap in the water room in the basement.
The sprinkler system does not run off the well. There is a separate system to pump water out of Bowmanville Creek for the sprinklers, including the pump and running the electricity. This very effective for jobs that require lots of water. No hands on by owner is required! The sprinkler technician can open and close it along with the sprinkler. This is perfectly legal as majority of the houses on the street use the water from Bowmanville Creek.
